Since a small youth I have always been fascinated by the beauty and art of caribbean carnival. The way that the feathers danced on your body and how the jewels becomes one with the masquerader is truly a sight to see. Although the astounding body wear is breath taking the meaning behind carnival is what stood out to me the most. While participating in carnival not only are you enjoying your time but you feel a since of euphoria and unity. Framed Carnival is where carnival and fashion intertwine and to keep a culture alive. I have always had a true love for desigining and creating something new but meaningful. Designing carnival costumes feeds this desire of mines. Being a child of multiple cultures I always hold dear to me my West African roots and creating carnival attire helps me put a little piece of my culture into a new form of art.
