Visual Art – Dallas - Fort Worth
A truly creative mind, Franklin showed signs early that he was specifically designed to be an artist. The eighth child out of nine, a native of Chicago, Illinois, Franklin learned to entertain himself with art, seeing artistry in everything around him as a young child. The more his gift developed the more it was admired by his family. This admiration fueled his desire to continue to create and develop his craft. With this goal in mind, Franklin began to become a student of art. Having received no formal art education, Franklin taught himself and developed his techniques.
Franklin’s desire to paint comes from him being able to find peace when he is painting, drawing or just being creative. He sees things the normal eye wouldn’t see and is able to translate the ordinary to the extraordinary on canvas. He loves to express his visions through oil painting, pastel and pencil. He is best known for his abstract art, which are truly sights to behold as well as portraits.
