Two years ago, I went to India for the first time, to work with the Untouchables. In India, I woke up each day to the beautiful smiles of orphans, prostitutes, and lepers; my heart was awakened to my love for those deemed unloveable. My love for India, and desire to go back last year, inspired this adventure of making headbands. Just as we are knit together in our mother\'s womb by a creative God (Psalm 139), we are a garden variety of Daughters of the King, each unique in a multitude of ways: in our talents, our beauty, our laughs, our sorrows, our stories. All the differences, just as dahlias, tiger lilies, and roses do, make a beautiful garden to cherish and enjoy--A garden variety.
