Adriana Gasperi is an international artist referred to as “Gatos ilimitados” for her unique and popular portrayal of cats. The artist who is from Venezuela, based in Portland, Oregon, is recognized for personifying the cherished feline and its multi-faceted personalities. Her art combines her lifelong interest in painting and drawing and her proficiency in color, design, and digital art. She adorns the faces and bodies of her subjects with colorful designs inspired by Oriental and Latin-American motifs. While her cats embody wit and charisma, they also communicate social messages the artist feels are important, such as ecology and animal protection. She owns ten cats, donates a portion of her proceeds to animal shelters, and supports several animal organizations. She is a member of the International Art of Compassion Project created by Leigh Sanders to promote veganism around the world.
