Ginnie McKnight

Ginnie McKnight is an emerging, self taught Artist originally from Chicago, IL and raised in the surrounding area. Though always talented in drawing and art, she studied Political Science in College. In July of 2007 she left her home in Chicago, and moved to Baltimore, MD. She realized she didn\'t have any Art work on her walls, so she purchased her first canvas, Acrylic paint, & brush set to paint her first painting. She ventured into painting with Oil in 2011. In July 2011 she had her first exhibit at the African American Heritage Festival in Baltimore, MD. In June of 2012 her Art work was on display in Times Square, New York for the Art Takes Times Square Exhibit 2012. Mixing innate creativity, skill, and opportunity, Ginnie McKnight is sharing her Art with the world and blossoming in the same breath. Her life is a story of perseverance and strength, and she shares this message in her Artistry. Her message, “I Am a Painter, Artist, Lover, and Blossoming” serves as a personal affirmation and mission to share her best to encourage others to do the same.
