Photography – Los Angeles

Everything ugly I\'ve seen is everything pretty in me. After graduating with a B.S. in Photography from NAU, I returned to LA/// and this city is the moment I\'ve been waiting for. I\'m a poet and a portrait photographer. I like to think I like a mixture of conceptualization with a photojournalistic twist. Much of my work is self portraiture. I find that my body and camera are my most useful utensils in communicating with others. It\'s behind or in front of the camera, when I am at play. When I am alive. Everything is urgent and vital. Pictures are depictions of a time period, a movement, a circumstance, a moment. I am honest. I will speak about my mental illness in any circumstance to provide greater understanding of Bipolar Disorder Type I. I believe in harnessing energy for good. Art is my way of channeling my own volatile nature into something of greater good. My purpose? To inspire.
