Give Me Gravity

Music – Philadelphia

Normally, a band begins its musical journey by jamming in basements, playing to empty bars, and begging their friends to come to yet another show at the local venue. Philadelphia’s Give Me Gravity, after only playing together since early 2012, is growing up fast. In just their fourth show, they graced the stage of Philly’s historic Theatre of Living Arts in June 2012, and started their own journey off with a bang. The band’s dynamic style makes it difficult to classify their genre - a wide variety of influences are evident, ranging from My Morning Jacket to Brand New, State Radio to Led Zeppelin, and At the Drive-In to Dr. Dog. Give Me Gravity has formulated their own sound of sincere and energetic rock, mixed with a heavy dose of catchy, in-your-face guitar riffs and solos, and then thrown into a blender and ground into a pulp of tunes that urges you to dance, head-bang, and scream lyrics all at the same time. Formed in January of 2012, Give Me Gravity released their first EP, Time to be OK, on June 22, 2012. With recognition from several media outlets like, 93.3 WMMR, 93.7 WSTW, Gashouse Radio, That Music Mag and many more, why WOULDN\'T you want to be part of the Gravi-Team?
