Photography – Chicago

Seven Years ago my photography professor asked what my passion was. At the time, I had no idea. He told me to travel the world for seven years, and continue to practice photography. I enlisted in the United States Navy six months later. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to live in Japan. The years spent traveling the world, lead me to the realization that capturing life through the observant nature of photography was an avenue I wanted to explore. My passion lied in capturing moments that could not stand the fragility of my memory. Photography has the tendency to remove you from the present environment. The vulnerability of the subject is either exposed or repressed once the camera is present. Retaining the moments solidity is the challenge of street photography.
