Granadans

Performing Art – New York - Brooklyn

Granadans is a New York-based dance project rooted in transcending genre, exploring varied human dynamics, and creating musically textured movement with narrative intent. Granadans was founded in Dallas, TX in 2013 when Zach Biehl and Summer Myatt met while pursuing their BFAs in dance at Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts. Granadans was born from their shared desire to integrate their love for music with their passion for creating movement. In the spring of 2015, Granadans premiered their first work, "Getting There" as part of the SMU Division of Dance student choreography show, Brown Bag; it was later commissioned to be performed for 2017's Dallas Dancefest. Granadans is currently creating new work in New York and looking forward to their upcoming winter series.
