Mr. LXXXVII
Photography – New York - Brooklyn
For as long as I can remember I\'ve been immersed in the world of the arts. I would delve into the worlds of life-drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design. It wasn\'t until I took my first photographs that I found what came to be my true calling.
Of all the disciplines I became versed in photography offered me something I\'d never felt or experienced before. There was mystery and a certain level of uncertainty to it that i couldn\'t find in other mediums. There was a beautiful and therapeutic process that offered great reward when you exposed the perfect print. It was love.
While some loved portraiture I found myself taking photos of clouds and flowers. They presented a natural and stoic beauty that I longed for.
I would go on to photograph musicians at shows, which I found rounded out my body of work in an interesting fashion.
Opting to not provide the expected I scaled stages and occupied nooks to get shots that seemed to real to in fact be real.
As I continue down the path of self discovery I only hope to create more work that engages, inspires, and thrills viewers.
