I'm a small town Missouri Girl...Just moved to Iowa to persue my dream of becoming an accomplished hairstylist, since I was very young I"ve wanted my own business! I have been a hairdresser in Des Moines now for a decade. Starting with Aveda as a young hairdresser, allowed me to open my mind to the make-up world and allowing me to broaden my talents. My passion is hair and it's not work for me at all just fun with people I enjoy meeting on a daily basis and inspiring! Making them beautiful and fresh and stylish too. I opened my Salon: Hair Hype ... it's located at 555 Walnut street in the Kalediscope at the Hub. I'm new and totally building my business from the ground up! Hope you enjoy my natural take on the everyday downtown Hair professionals of Des Moines!!!!

INSPIRATIONS

My kids inspire me to be strong and lead them..my talents inspire me to seek out things in the world like Raw, it's such a great opportunity to meet and share our passions with each other!!!! Music inspires me everyday helps to clear my stresses! And gives me motivation to come up with insane ideas that I can put to good use, in a photo shoot or my work! I love being my own person taking risks and having my own place inspires me to keep pushing my limits to achieve great success!

FAVORITE THING ABOUT RAW

Wow..so many things...I luv to walk in and see all the raw art taking place and just take it all in! It all gives me ideas and inspirations that will stay with me for ideas to come. Plus every time I go to Raw I run into great ppl and ppl I've known in this business over ten years! It's great to inspire each other and meet awesome artists to collaborate with in the future!

MAKES MY WORLD GO ROUND

Let's see...laughter...money!! Duh!!!! Good, loyal customers and fun friendships are a must..And my kids keep me strong and grounded so I stay focused on what really matters and don't get too side tracked! Becoming a Hairdresser is one of my best achievements! It has taught me about ppl, life and love... and hard times and good times. With out my Salon career and my passion for hair I would feel so blah!!! So I'm thankful.
