Visual Art – Seattle
I am a Washington based artist out of Tacoma. I have always drawn inspiration from animation, graphic novels, pin-up; these have all shown themselves in my artwork. I attended Full Sail University where I received an associates in Computer Animation, later deciding that it was more rewarding to work with my hands. This lead me to my acrylic painting. Painting came as a form of therapy, unlike journaling or talk therapy this has allowed a movement through feelings and thoughts as a private experience.
My work explores ideas of feminism, sexuality, and the body positive movement. I'm working to show women in powerful images in an unapologetic way. I was raised in a large family of women that were independent and inspiring. This plays a big role in my art and everyday life. While living in Spokane, Wa I started creating custom painted long boards, both functional and decorative.
