Music – Indianapolis

I primarily play cello, guitar, and uke. Loop pedal experimentation has been my thing lately. I\'ve formally studied cello for about 6 years, but I\'ve been messing around with instruments my whole life. Making music has always been my favorite escape. I was a member of Indianapolis-based New World Youth Symphony Orchestra for two years, as well as a few other random orchestras over the years. I went to Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan three summers, twice for a singer/songwriter seminar and once for a cello institute. I\'ve met lots of amazing creative folks in all these organizations. My astonishment at my peers\' work, whether it\'s creative or purely technical, inspires me to keep working at my craft. Speaking of my incredible peers, I organize a lot of combined music & art shows for my friends here in Noblesville. I started a little creative troupe called Alphabet Soup Creators\' Collective. We put on occasional events and meet weekly to share our poems or songs or whatever we\'re into making. Basically, I love bringing people together. I love even more when my music speaks to the people I\'ve brought together. This fall, I\'m gonna attend Butler University to study Music Composition with cello as my primary instrument. Still trying to find my exact sound, but I sort of like the uncertainty. Keeps things interesting.
