My name is Ken Combs and I'm a third generation artist, born and raised in Orange County, California. Were I began painting at a very young age, with teachings from my Grandmother and Aunt. I enjoy painting surf culture, Woodies of day's gone by and tropical plants. I love the response of old surfer, telling me of how it brings them back to the days of there youth and seeing the joy on there faces. Most of my adult life was spent with sand-in-toes, in the picturesque city of Huntington Beach California.In the 1990's I traveled throughout the former Soviet Union for 3 years. Were I absorbed all the scenery and became inspired by it's rich history and culture. Some of my paintings are reminiscent of his time spent and journeys taken all over this country. I'm moved by the beauty of all landscapes, beaches, buildings, and people; having the ability to show love of art, through oil paintings, it's a true blessing. I now resides out in the city of Grand Terrace, CA were I live with my beautiful wife and two lovely daughters.
