Photography – Indianapolis

Graphic Designer/Photographer.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Graphic Design from Gwen Frostic School of Art at Western Michigan University. Design studies aside I focused on my other passion, Photography, taking many film and digital classes while working for a photography studio for 7 years capturing weddings, portraits, events, as well as editing and creating photo albums.

My inspiration comes from nature and just being enveloped in the amazingness that is our Earth. Growing up in Michigan’s countryside helped fuel this need to see the world in. When I go out on a photographing excursion, I like to start with the whole landscape and then dive in to the details around me. The details of your surroundings are important they create the big picture around you and I want people to see the beauty I see. We live in a fast pace world with our faces buried in technology; how many people stop to focus on the details in life, in nature?

Ansel Adams and Andy Goldsworthy are my favorite inspirations, both exceptional, stellar artist and outdoor enthusiasts. They are passionate about their art, nature and working with the landscape and resources that Mother Earth has to offer. Never resorting to digital influences and letting their love for nature influence their work. I tend to not stray too far from the natural truth of my imagery myself, not going overboard with color saturation or touch-ups, I let nature speak for itself. I just have the honor of photographing it.
