Music – Boston

Hailing from Boston MA, Khalel \"Scoot\" Pritchard (age 23) and Casey “Casey Jay” Jemmott (age 21) are both former members of Elektra Records R&B group Code5 (2002). They’ve worked with artists like Missy Elliot and Timberland and their first single “What’s You’re Name Girl?” was produced by DJ Clue (Desert Storm). They’ve had major appearances on BET’s“106&Park”, Nickelodeon’s“Slime Time”, MTV’s “TRL”, and the historic “Soul Train”. In addition to TV, they have appeared in various magazines including Right On, Black Beat, Network and Vibe. Since 2002, they have both grown as producers, songwriters, and artists. In 2010, Heavy Drum Committee (HDC) was born. HDC started as a production team and has since grown into a brand embodying the sound, look, and feel of the culture in the music industry. HDC produces all genres of music, both for themselves and other artists. As group, Casey and Scooter’s Hip-hop and R&B roots shine through a mash up of Pop, Dance, and Electro sounds culminating in a smooth yet energetic sound. Their sound is often compared to The Neptune’s, Black Eyed Peas and Far East Movement; however, their unique style distinguishes them from other popular artists today. It is only a matter of time before they break into mainstream rotation. Along with the creation of their own sound, they also have begun to create their own brand. With the HDC brand growing, it is only a matter of time before the world takes notice. With their ability to produce everything from high energy, heavy drum hits, to smooth, slow R&B tracks, HDC has something for everyone. They’re dedication to the game has proven to stay true and strong throughout the years and will continue into the future.
