Accessories – Dallas - Fort Worth

Since she was three years old, designer Hannah Pederson has been obsessed with fashion. Turning out in style at pre-school, she started her experimentation with mismatched socks that coordinated with her play outfits. By age five she was designing and making princess dresses out of trash bags to entertain herself at her grandparents’ home. By 7 she was sketching elaborate clothing lines. When she attended a middle school that did not have uniforms, she announced that she had not worn exactly the same outfit for the entire year. Art, fashion and music have been her passion and her destiny. Just before her 21st birthday, she found her calling. She would design and create jewelry that reflected her personal style and eclectic taste. The feather craze was the impetus for the first creations but, knowing that feathers were likely a passing trend, she branched out into other areas. She likes to up-cycle and recreate from vintage pieces of jewelry and accessories. Grandmother’s jewelry stash has come in handy and many elements of her jewelry are found in Hannah\'s pieces, along with other items she is given or finds in her travels. The young designer went to work making jewelry and learning the business of running a business. This was pretty heady stuff for a 21-year-old. With every bump and bruise she learned. Every article she makes has a special piece of herself wrapped into it. Hannah Pederson designs and creates out of her downtown loft in Dallas, Texas.
