Tales of the Blue Rust

Photography – Sydney

Tales of the Blue Rust is a joint venture of 2 artists. My name is Agnes Durbet, I am a Canadian in Australia. Diverse and creative event and customer relations specialist with over 20 years combined experience in a broad range of dynamic environments, I only started to sell my photographs recently to private estates. One of my work is now part of an exhibition in Provence, it illustrate a gesture as an inspiration of a writer‘s quote. I was a winning recipient for Photographer Forum Magazine in 2013. APE alias Bernie Avantin The artist is secretive and full of surprise. He fancies calling himself an ape, probably because humanity isn’t meant for him. Ape was born and raised in Morocco from a French background. Extensive traveller, he came to Australia in the early 1970 and lived on and off a bush life seeking gems and gold for over 20 years to finally settle down in Sydney. He has his own contracting company and has been working for Sydney Water since 1992. Ape has been creating and writing all his life but never thought of sharing his work with the public before 2013. Ape’s Art was exhibited in Los Angeles by the 1650 Gallery in August 2014 under the theme “in motion”. Together, Ape and Agnes photographs were exhibited in December 2013 and in September 2014 in Sydney Australia the catalog of the exhibition is available online at http://au.blurb.com/b/5193471-tales-of-the-blue-rust.
