Allison Oreck

My name is Allison and I am so excited to share my paintings with you! Born and raised in the beautiful, snow covered city of Minneapolis, MN, it\'s where I chose to come back to after graduating from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!). I have always had an appreciation for art but I had no idea how deep that passion was until I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. I like to think its fate that I chose to study there but deep down I know it was my craving for gelato, pasta and wine! While I was in Italy, I knew taking an art history class was a must. I can’t even begin to describe the experience of taking an art history class in the most art rich city in the world...if you ever have the chance, you’re extremely lucky (which I was). Fast forward 5 years - desperate to find a hobby to get me through the chilly Minnesota winter, I enrolled in a Minneapolis Community Education oil painting class. That class was 3 hours of pure bliss, amusement and relaxation. My friends and family started commissioning paintings and I now have the opportunity to share my passion with you!
