By day, I\'m a textile chemist. By \"night\" my creative juices flow. My fascination with masks runs deep; the alluring mystique of the the unknown that a mask represents; the lush possibilities that live just beyond what we see with our eyes; the dangerous seductions that lie in dark, plush, velvet corners of our experiences; all this is conjured up in the mystery of the mask. Siren Masquerades came to life as a result of my never finding the right masks for events in stores or online. I knew I could make my vision a reality and produce the kinds of masks that told my masquerade narrative, and so I began making masquerade masks, fascinators & headdresses out of my Brooklyn loft. What started as a sartorial solution for me and my friends\' busy social calendars turned into a successful side business, with the orders coming in almost faster than I can make them. I\'ve just recently taken on a designer and copywriter to help expand the reach and vision of Siren Masquerades.
