Visual Art – Nashville

I hail from California, I moved to Tennessee at the age of 12. I remember drawing constantly and thinking it was a waist of time...I have never been so wrong. At 18 I became a professional tattoo artist and decided at an early age that I wanted to Own a tattoo shop, flip houses and own a restaurant. With this thought in mind I felt like I needed the knowledge of exactly how to build my own house or restaurant. so during the slow season of tattooing I would work construction...I started in plumbing. Choosing pluming was the best thing I could do because as a plumber you are in the structure for all the process that takes place. I was able to watch people for years do there job and I learned from watching. Plumbing is also how I met copper, one of my favorite mediums. Fast forward to the ripe age of 26 and I had my own tattoo shop and was flipping houses! Then the economy went down and I was deep in a super luxury and homes....not a good place to be. I sold everything because I knew that if it could happen once it would happen again. So I left tattooing for good. Honestly as an artist it because stifling to me. My design and construction background collided at 28 and I co designed a gas plant. I then went on to manage a design and graphic department(different companies) from 30 to 32. I\'m 32.
