Manuel Zamudio is a contemporary artist living and working in McAllen, TX and was born in Mexico City, DF in 1988 Zamudio is a self-taught artist he started at a very young age replicating his favorite comic book characters which helped him understand the human form and color schemes. He works with many mediums which range from Oil paints to spray paints. His works depict dramatic scenes filled with occult and mystic symbols. Zamudio often paints his subject wearing masks, these masks represent the human ego or the human actor. He addresses the lack of intelligence and wisdom in the world by showing subjects going through a mystic form of enlightenment. His work blends fine art with a notion of graffiti. He has recently been showing his works throughout south TX Including San Antonio, Corpus Christy and most recent had a solo exhibition at The Weslaco Museum. He has also been spending time working on multiple murals through McAllen.
