I received my Associate of Arts with honors last spring. I am currently attending Park University in pursuit of a Bachelors of Fine Arts. My hope is to be a full time working artist sometime in the near future. I recently completed a residential mural and am ready for new commission work. When I won two drawing contests about ten years ago, I was able to buy more art supplies, but it gave me the encouragement I needed to pursue a career in the arts. I believe life is too short to not chase after what you love with all the passion and intensity one can muster.
God. My daughter Amanda. Chocolate. Compassion. Creativity. Smart people. Artist Bryan Ranes. A traffic light intersection after the rain,(at night) the way the colors "smear" all over the pavement. Constant improvement. Overcoming obstacles. Positive thinking. Laughter.
That you all have organized a dynamic group of creative types to share their gifts!
A desire to work full time at my art sometime in the future gives me the motivation to keep working hard toward my goals.
