Baltimore,Maryland artist Fred Schukart\'s amazing techniques involve applying paint to canvas and wood through the art of chemistry. With festive pigments, various inks, finely ground minerals and synthetic resin, he pushes the limits of modern art to create pieces that represent harmony between the abstract and representational. By using the extremely difficult use of resin, Schukart takes the traditional methods of mixing pigments to the next level. Applying up to 5 layers, he creates lovely arrays of hardened color. The result is a glass-like finish that delights as well as pushes the constraints of the viewer’s visual experience.
