Visual Art – Portland

I am a Montana native, but I moved to Washington when I was 18, where I attended Western Washington University for Art & Illustration. I've been in Portland for a little over a month, and I am absolutely in love. I primarily do ink illustrations, sometimes incorporating watercolor or copic markers, but I have dabbled in just about everything. Painting, paper-making, weaving, screen-printing, lithography, you name it. My style incorporates intricate, detailed designs and patterns, often accompanied with figurative drawings. I enjoy working in a way that is very ornate and elaborate. The majority of my work is very automatic, spontaneous and intuitive. I begin with a doodle and let it blossom from there.
