Natalya C. Hutchinson

Visual Art – Houston

Natalya Hutchinson is an abstract artist who was born and raised southwest of Houston in Missouri City, Texas. As an introverted black young woman in the suburbs, she found her voice through the use of art at a very young age. Art was her way of connecting with her peers and family members. As a self -taught artist she was able to learn how to draw and paint by observation and experimentation. After discovering a new realm of art during her second year of college, she graduated from the University of North Texas in 2015 with a degree in Fine Art in Printmaking and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Upon returning home she is currently helping to inspire and encourage young children of all ages as a teacher at the Sugarland School of Fine Art. Since then she had been commissioned to create artwork for buyers and collectors in the area, which also includes selling her artwork at local events in the area. Natalya’s combination of art, nature, and an expression of boldness create a sense of serenity and empowerment with the use of intuitive mark making, color, and fragmented shapes. She wants to express to others that women of color can be audacious, calm and collected at any time through or courageous, fearless, daring, brave, and individual bold attitudes; includes our hair, accessories individual experiences and more. The ImaNATural brand was designed and created to represent her and others that have the same natural, artistic abilities. It not only represents one’s character and self expression of art, but also other people who feels as though their natural abilities aren’t worthy enough. She has a natural gift that allows her to express herself to others and she loves it. Her next goal is to introduce her supporters to the printmaking world even more.
