Bec displayed a natural flair for all things creative from a very young age - constantly drawing and running the families supplies of paper down to zero - even took to drawing on the floor. Bec excelled academically, however chose to follow her instincts and pursue a successful career in Graphic Design, an industry that has allowed her creativity to shine. Creating unique works of art has always been a passion. Bec studied Three Unit art at school and at the age of 22 had her first solo art exhibition in Melbourne. Bec’s dedication saw her sell and win many commissions whilst exhibiting weekly at the popular Old Bus Depot Markets in Canberra, where she developed a distinct style and became known for her brightly coloured and textured work. Moving to Brisbane in 2004, was soon followed by the birth of her son in 2005 – her most amazing creation yet. The years to follow were subsequently consumed by motherhood and establishing a successful Design Studio to provide for her son. After much personal change, 2013 saw Bec launch back into the art-making world, winning a number of commissions including portraits and colourful abstracts. Excitedly 2014 has seen Bec create even more heartfelt artwork and provided opportunities to exhibit her work as the feature artist at Brunswick Heads and Newrybar, plus she looks forward to exiciting artist opportunities in 2015.
