Jai Suol

Music – St. Louis

Jai Suol was born and raised in St. Louis, MO as Jenelle T. Nelson. At the age of 8 years old, she discovered her talent and love for singing. She has received vocal training from legendary jazz vocalist Denise Thimes. With a vocal range of 2nd Soprano, she has performed with various bands in popular venues around the St. Louis area. Jai is currently working on her first EP set to release May 2015. Jai is a graduate of Lindenwood University with Master of Science in Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, Master of Arts in Digital and Multimedia and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. She currently is an advocate in the community and volunteers with the YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Committee on Administration and Transitional Housing Program and STL Television Station. Jai was the 2nd Runner Up in the Miss Black Missouri Pageant in 2010. As a person, she has always been compassionate of others and believes knowledge is key and if you judge before knowing you could miss out on knowing some of the most wonderful knowledge heard in the most unheard places. Jai continues to have compassion and love for all human beings, because no one is better than the other, just different and unique and should be embraced in its own respect.
