James Prentice

From Melbourne but currently practicing in Byron Bay my work inevitably tends to revolve around surf. With my oil paintings being a visual representation of a fleeting moment in time in the past, an attempt to capture a visual prompt of retrospect surrounded by its emotional involvement. My collages on the other hand tend to be much more intuitive, using mixed media on canvas creating large scale mind maps in attempt to respond to irrational desires of escapist adventure and curiosity.
