Visual Art – San Diego

I'm a self taught artist that began drawing as early as 6 years old. I liked to draw out war scenes, create flip books and was always doodling cars. Some days I wouldn't leave my room for hours as I would try to put my imagination to paper. From pencils to charcoal and even sharpie pens I would use whatever was available. As I grew older I challenged myself and would draw houses, structures, bridges, city scenes, eyeballs and women. I also expanded the tools I used like colored pencils and oil pastels as it added a new element to my art. I started painting 7 years ago and fell in love with the new medium. I love the texture and dimension of color painting brings to the canvass. Being in San Diego and having the beach nearby reminds of surfing for the first time and inspired me to paint waves and I haven't stopped since.
