Jeanna Delfin

Visual Art – Phoenix

I am Jeanna Delfin, originally from Southern California and an Arizona resident since 2005. I am a figure sketch artist and have an equal love for portraiture. Two events completely changed my life\'s purpose: 1) my brother nearly died of a serious illness in 2012, and 2) I had an early stage of breast cancer in 2013. I was reminded that the physical life was finite. I then decided that I wanted to live with quality, refinement, and happiness; to create art and to enrich lives with what I create... My ongoing series, called #DelfinNudes, include renderings and quick sketches of the nude figure. My ongoing portraits series, called \"Music Icons of the 20th Century, \" include the faces of Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Sinatra. My work is currently on view at One Coffee Co., (portraits of Morrison and Buddy Holly) and the Pizza People Pub, (portraits and figure drawings.) My art has been seen in local coffee shops in Phoenix including Nami, Copper Star Coffee, and Fair Trade Café. Currently, my work is on view at ThirdSpace café and pub in the Grand Avenue Arts District. I\'m also a board member of a local non-profit organization, the Academy Theatre, which teaches life skills, leadership, and the performing arts to its youth members.
