I\'m a Chicago-based artist. My work explores beauty and violence in the context of power. What gives us power as women? What does our culture tell us that we need to have, to be, to look like, for us to be powerful? Is beauty power? Is suffering? Is anger?
I\'m interested in creating images that juxtapose power and powerlessness, that are both beautiful and disturbing, that critique our culture’s definition of an \"acceptable\" powerful woman.
