Visual Art – Tulsa

I was born in Southern California and moved to worlds away to Larned, Kansas with my family when I was 6 years old. I knew immediately that I was not going to stay there forever and frequently daydreamed about moving back to a big city, which fueled my creativity. As I grew up, I turned to art as a solace through drawing, painting, and playing music. At the time, music was a bigger part of my life as I was classically trained since childhood. I had always loved making art and cannot remember the moment I started drawing. It was always a part of my life. I took every art and music class my small school offered, which was few. In high school, my focus was music and I played multiple brass instruments for the school’s variety of bands. The arts kept me motivated throughout childhood. As an adult, I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the invitation of my oldest brother, a professional musician. Through his influence, I realized what I really wanted to do with my life after years of questioning myself - to make art and design. I am now halfway through my undergraduate work with the goal of graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
