Visual Art – Toronto
Joanna Turlej is a contemporary artist who has exhibited locally and internationally. She graduated from OCAD University in Toronto, ON with an honours degree in Design and an Award of Excellence.
In the beginning of 2014, Joanna’s explorations using different media led her to embrace paper collage technique, as an expression of her art. This very specialized and unique technique, developed by her, rendered her a lot of success. Early in 2015, she was elected as a member of the prestigious Ontario Society of Artists.
In July 2015, Joanna was invited to participate in Art Monaco 2015 Art Fair. Joanna’s work was published on a centre fold of Italian Magazine Biancoscuro covering Art Monaco 2015.
In February 2016 Joanna will participate in Artist Project art fair in Toronto. Recently she was a featured artist in West of the City magazine in January/February 2016 issue.
Joanna describes her style as “painting with paper”.
