Photography – Ventura

After graduating from Elmhurst College with a degree in Spanish, I moved from the Mid-West to Southern California. I later enrolled in the visual journalism program at Brooks Institute in Ventura, California. While at Brooks, I spent seven weeks in Vietnam working on the annual international documentary project, and worked on two domestic documentary projects that took me to New York City and The Black Rock Desert in Nevada. In Spring 2012 I worked a four-month multimedia internship at the Science Desk at National Public Radio headquarters in Washington, D.C. In December 2012, I graduated from Brooks Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Journalism. Presently I work as a freelance photographer and video editor in Ventura, California.
