It all started with...
A pencil and piece of paper. As young kid I always had an appreciation for art,the expression of creativity and the freedom to create anything you want. I was also lucky enough to grow up with a father who enjoyed drawing and would tattoo his friends and family right in my sight, it was awesome. This made me want to draw on any surface I could. As a kid, I remember doodling before, during and after class. Drawing a variety of things from cartoon characters, to sketching animals and plants, to graffiti. All theses styles played a huge role in teaching me the basics of art, the fundamentals. They helped me push my creativity and skills further and further. As the years past I started exploring my inner consciousness and this shifted my perception of the world that I once knew. I decided that I had to draw my experiences within the infinite universe. This has led to my recent works which I have displayed in my gallery. My name is Jonathan Santoyo and I'm an artist from San Diego, California.
