Joset Medina

Visual Art – San Francisco

Joset Medina was born in San Cristobal, Venezuela (09-27-1984) and from a very young age he immersed himself in drawing, creating cartoons and making portraits of his family and friends. Medina began his studies at the Academy of Art; shortly after, however, he felt the need to undertake drawing through his own way. He created drawings and paintings based on seeing through his own mind and eyes. In 2001, Medina accomplished the first publication of his artwork. Subsequently, in 2002, he began formal studies in architecture at the Universidad del Tachira in Venezuela. His creative skills in drawing were an immense support throughout his studies. After completing his degree, Medina began working in Venezuela as an architect; however, Panama City with its emerging construction development caught his interest. With continuing intrigue, he moved to Panama City in 2008. Along with his architectural work, he continued exploring his artistic expression by creating new themes full of deep feeling, energy and vibrant colors. Medina\'s artwork has been covered by the press in Panama and Venezuela, including publications, magazines and internet TV. Furthermore his artwork is exhibited at independent art shows in Panama\'s old city and at Tantalo Hotel and Villa Agustina. Taking a big leap at the end of 2014, Medina jumped into a new adventure by moving to San Francisco. In a short period, he has already become involved in the City\'s art scene, taking to the streets with his art as mural as well as his paintings in upcoming art shows. l
