Jo Skipworth

A Novocastrian who dabbles in illustration. Drawing inspiration from a previous life of high school art, graphic design and architecture, I work in a graphic style that is detail orientated. I use a combination of Copic Markers and felt tip pens in my work and find that the materials I use inform the style of drawing I create. Almost as if they are in charge and it is my job to figure out how to form an image from their application. I find approaching my art in this way is not only expressive, but methodical and puzzle like.
