ABOUT

Through my photography I seek to document my own personal experiences, to capture scenes and events as I see them and to share with others the beauty and diversity of the world I've seen. As the images of other photographers have inspired me to explore my craft, I hope my own contributions will inspire others to do the same. I have spent a lot of time reflecting on things such as what is my "style". Style comes with time and is a difficult thing to force or define. However, my work is greatly inspired by nature and urban environments. I frequently enjoy capturing subjects that most people pass by without a second glance or appreciation. Many of my photos have a vacant state of neglect and often a sense of decay which tells a story in itself. Rather than capturing the commonly obvious beauty that surrounds us, I find that the natural processes of weathering and deterioration are also just as beautiful. I love photography more than anything in this world. Why do I love photography so much? Simple, it matters. It is a form of communication and storytelling that is so powerful, that the photographs you and I take can and will outlive us. Not much in our world is that permanent and that important.
