Visual Art – Los Angeles

My artwork are self-portraits which depict transformations in my life. My paintings explore the human nature of feeling fear and repression. The artwork depicts the stages of confronting fear leading to the feeling of freedom, peace, and love. Some of my art reflects the struggles of being Korean American. Assimilating into America and losing my Korean culture has always been a battle with me. I value my culture, yet despise being Korean because I want to be accepted by the American culture. All of my paintings are my vision for the world to have freedom, connection, and unity.
