Visual Art – Boise

Hey there, I'm Julie Pegan the creator and owner of PeganArt, a freelance art company. I enjoy joining forces with people in need of turning their ideas into a creative product. With experience in kids book illustration, large scale mural painting, character design, poster, book and advertising material design, it is safe to say I am an Artist with a need to create. My personal work stems from a weird sense of humor nurtured by a childhood steeped in fantasy, whether it was literature, movies, or my own imagination. I am a nerd to the core and a good string of puns will likely bring me to my knees with laughter. I try to share these passions with others through my artwork, so if you find any of it funny you are definitely on the right track. You may have seen some of my work either in Freak Alley (I am a 5 year veteran of their yearly renewal); at or around the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights and/or the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial (I work with the Center as their contract Graphic Designer and have created educational material, banners, books, and even a mobile exhibit for them); or my collaborative mural work on the interior walls of Boise's 8th Street restaurant Eureka (Myself and my fellow Artist Sarah Terrell jointly painted all 410 square feet of their walls); or perhaps you have seen a piece or two or mine in a Swell Artist Collective show. If none of these apply to you, we really should talk, so stop by my booth and say "Hi."
