Music – Philadelphia
We’re June Divided, a rock band from Philly. We get a lot of questions about us so here are some FAQs:
How did you end up in a band?
Chris (guitar) and Melissa (vocals, guitar) graduated from Drexel. During a not-so-successful job hunt, they started a band. The band turned into our jobs (thankfully!) and here we are. We were a brand new band when we released our first EP, The Other Side of You, in Feb. 2011. We just released our full-length album, Backbone, this summer.
Is it true you found your drummer on Craigslist?
Yes, his name is Keith and he’s also a plumber. A Plumber Drummer. Lenny (bass) joined the band a little later and the line-up was complete.
What was Vans Warped Tour like this year?
Hot as hell, but we survived our two week run! It was an amazing experience.
Some of your craziest gigs?
We’ve had some crazy shows with Falling In Reverse, Filter, The Dirty Heads, The Pretty Reckless and The Cab. We also got to play at the NY Red Bulls MLS game. We’ve found ourselves performing live on NBC10, Radio 104.5 and at SXSW.
Tell us about your music video for Bullet!
It was a cold shoot but a ton of fun! It somehow found it’s way onto MTVu!
What\'s next for you guys?
Touring! We want to go everywhere. And a new music video is in the works!
Since you’re from Philly, do you watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
Yes, but we’d still watch it if we were from Quebec.
