When I was 6 years old, I used to wear a maxi tweed cape that was hand crafted by my mother. After school, when getting off the bus, as soon as my feet hit the pavement I would take off running as fast as I could. As I ran home from the bus stop with my cape flowing and blowing in the wind, I felt like the prettiest girl ever. That\'s when I learned how clothing can affect the way that you feel, and I loved It! Wearing my mothers creations started me on the path to loving any and everything colorful and eccentric. My passion for all that glittered led me to the Entertainment industry where I held positions that focused on Trend Spotting and Image Building. Personal Assistant to a Celebrity Recording Artist, One of the players in the Original Programming and Publicity Departments at a Major cable television network, Segment Producer on a well known Television News Show, I had an opportunity to mingle with Fashionistas and Celebrities on a daily basis, and to determine what was hot enough to put on air! Although fun, the artist in me was lying dormant, and my career path no longer fulfilling. After studying different jewelry design techniques in different parts of the world as well as World Renown Fashion Institute of Technology In New York, Just Funki, a Wearable Art company that caters to those who enjoy unusual one of a kind jewely items and accessories was born.
