Fashion – Honolulu
I grew up in the beautiful state of Vermont, though I always knew I needed to be near the ocean. After falling in love with Hawaii during a week-long vacation in 2011, I left the comfort of my home state and moved halfway around the world.Every day I am thankful I made the decision to come to these beautiful islands.
Hawaii has allowed me to explore and embrace my talents and interests. I began experimenting with jewelry making and found it a relaxing hobby. I especially like making jewelry with the Hawaiian Sunrise Shell- a beautiful shell found only in Hawaii and once worn solely by Hawaiian royalty.
I officially began my jewelry company Kaimana Creations in April of 2013. Kaimana, meaning power of the sea in the Hawaiian language, is also special because I met my boyfriend Shone at Kaimana Beach Park on Oahu. He has been a huge supporter of the company, and has spent numerous hours helping me with web-design and graphics.
As Kaimana Creations continues to grow, I want to expand my craft by trying different techniques and products. I also want to give back to the community by hosting beach clean ups and barbecues. Stay tuned for future events!
