Kara Jenelle aka KaJe

Performing Art – Washington, D.C.

My name is Kara Jenelle (KJ for short) and I am a performer, teacher, and choreographer in the field of dance. I mostly focus on Hip Hop, African, and Contemporary styles, along with Step and urban street dances. Dance is my life career and more importantly my passion that I have chosen to follow whole heartily. I consider myself a RAW artist because I did not begin training until I was in high school, and teachers always told me it was my natural gift and that this is what I was born to do, and they could not have been more correct. Since I began my training, I have earned my BA in Dance at UNC Greensboro, as well as been awarded scholarships in study abroad to South Africa, in choreography and teaching. I am currently a teacher and choreographer for numerous studios and companies in the DC area, and I have also been blessed to train, and teach in Europe, El Salvador, and Kenya since graduating. Along with the performance aspect of dance I am also the Founder and National President of Delta Chi Xi Honorary Dance Fraternity, Inc.; a non-profit organization which focuses on academic excellence, networking, community service, and sharing the art among the collegiate level and beyond. My motto is: Live, Love, Dance.. OUTSIDE of your [KaJe] (cage) Thank you for considering me as a RAW artist for the DC premier showcase. I truly appreciate what you are doing for the arts!
