Karissa Bendavid has received formal cosmetic artistry training from the Napoleon Perdis Academy in Hollywood, California in 2008. In 2012, Karissa graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, with a degree in Beauty Industry Merchandise Marketing. For several years Karissa has worked with fabulous renowned photographers, phenomenal theatre actress', highly skilled models, and an elite clientele. Karissa has the freelance artistry experience to deliver her makeup message through her brushes. Her concept for her work is inspired by the canvas she takes on. To enhance one's natural beauty, and create confidence within the woman is her specialty. Currently Karissa Bendavid holds the title of Area Artist Trainer for distributor EC Scott Group for Southern California. She provides education on prestige beauty brands represented by EC Scott Group as well as special events to the independent channel market.

INSPIRATIONS

What inspires me is other artists in all art forms. Watching an idea come to life from concept to final execution is what really drives my art and gives me the motivation to go above and beyond what I am afraid to do. Mistakes inspire me. Life is about trial and error and that's what I love about makeup. The thing with makeup is there is no rules, and it's all about trying out the latest product or the hot runway look straight from Milan. I love being apart of a creative environment. It gives me an adrenaline rush like nothing else. Having creative minds collaborate in one environment together, truly makes me want to strive to do bigger, better and bolder things.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT RAW

My favorite thing about RAW is that it's for artists, BY artists. We are all in the same realm trying to show others our world. Our world that is special, inspiring, different, expressive, and everything that normal is not.
