Karla Rae

A Northwest girl, Karla grew up in Idaho working on her families cattle ranch. She began painting in oils at age twelve, and had her first show at fourteen. Karla studied painting and art conservation at the University of Idaho. For over 25 years, she worked as a professional art conservator for the St. Louis Museum, the Mitchel Museum of Art, and for many private collectors. Her years of paintings conservation have helped Karla to develop great versatility as an artist. For the past several years Karla has been showing her paintings at galleries and juried festivals from her studio in Mukilteo WA (Karla Rae Studios). Scenes from our breathtaking northwest beaches and landscapes, favorite travel locations, fruit and flowers are her latest inspirations.
