Dorian

Visual Art – Boise

When Dorian isn\'t busy with her full time job as a mental health advocate/yoga teacher, she is either in the kitchen baking up a batch of her soon-to-be famous Cookie Brittle or hiking on a mountain top. Dorian graduated from UCLA in 2011 and went off to find a new home in Washington, DC where she was a high school Special Education teacher for three years. During her teaching experience in the nation\'s capitol, Dorian saw the glaring need of programs that provide job and life skills training for the at-risk youth of our nation’s underserved communities. As a result, she created Karma Points Bakery when she made a new home in Boise, Idaho in 2014. Karma Points Bakery is designed to create opportunities for underserved youth to succeed in our community. She hopes to engage youth in the process of running a business, where they can develop the skills required to not only become productive members of the workforce, but also to realize their true potential in adulthood.
