Photography – Connecticut

I grew up in a family of artist, they all utilized different crafts such as pastels, wood, ink, and paint. I had always been a part of art night, painting with the whole lot of them every week. It wasn\'t until I found my first 35mm camera where I broke away from this crowd and developed my own passion. I eventually moved on to using a 4x5 View Camera. However, this work I have chosen to shown is a mix of acrylic ink layered on a digital print. The fact that photography is now so easily replicated with digital cameras upsets me; so in an effort for their to be an original,I practice the art of mixed media photography. I use a variety of materials including thread, ink, markers, and ink. I try to create an elaborated vision for the audience, allowing them to see the possibilities of what is right in front of them.
