Visual Art – Indianapolis

I\'ve been creating pieces of art my whole life. From quick little sketches to large watercolor paintings. My current passion is in ink. The simplicity of black ink on white paper is exciting! You never know where that first line will take you? I enjoy the details. I will take a shape or section and break it down as much as I can to see the play on positive and negative space. Then will throw a pop of color in at the end. Working on large ink designs takes me around 3-4 weeks to complete. I can visualize the placement of the colors I want to add, but with these drawings taking so long to finish and my desire to see some color, I would create quick little drawings so I could color. I found that the simple act of coloring gave me an opportunity to relax and open the creative side of my brain more and help me find answers to some of the questions I was problem solving with the other side. Everything seemed to click and the \"The Art of Coloring\" was born! I design large complex pieces, because I love the challenge, and drawings for my coloring pages. I believe everyone needs to create something everyday. We all need to tap into our creative side. \"The Art of Coloring\" will help you do that while creating a piece of art! ZenColoring.
